FitBit Zip Wont Track Any Steps

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I recently had surgery and didn't use my zip for 4 days. Now it will not count my steps. I've tried changing the battery and re setting it. Nothing seems to help with it starting to count steps again. Any information to get it started again will be helpful.

Thanks for joining us @KS0310277! By what you're describing, it could be that the side spring may be bent as a result of improper battery insertion or pressure being applied to the back housing. Please verify that there is proper contact between the battery and the battery contacts inside your Zip tracker.

You can do this by opening the battery door of your Zip, removing your battery, and ensuring that the silver battery tab located in the lower right half of your tracker is flush with the white box outline in the tracker housing. The process can be followed here.

Hope you're having a good recovery from surgery! Smiley Happy Heart Let me know how it goes after following the steps I posted above. I'll be around!
