Keep losing zip from clip

I am proposing you put a cover on the zip clip similar to an otter box. I keep losing my zip because the clip will flex. I have put shrink wrap on my clip to ensure my zip stays in place. Fitbit has been gracious to replace my zip but a new design is needed. I have a charge but like my zip as it is more accurate at step count. If you push a shopping cart, wheelchair or do incline on the treadmill which requires using both hands, steps don't count. I love my zip, I think a new clip design is in order.

Hi there @JaniHennes, welcome aboard to our Community. Thank you for your feedback about the need of a new design for the Zip clip. I will pass your comments to make sure this feedback is share with our teammates.

I wonder if your Zip keep coming off from the rubber case or is the whole tracker with the belt clip that does not stay in place?

If is the pebble that goes inside the tracker the one that keep coming off, perhaps is the belt clip too wear and may need a change (you can find replacements in the Fitbit Store), since the tracker should remain secure inside the belt clip. If is the whole unit that does not stay secure, I recommend recommend attaching it so that the display faces your body for maximum security.

Hope these tips helps. If you have more questions let me know and thank you again for your feedback.

The clip stays in place but the tracker comes out, the case flexes and
allows the tracker to come out and it's not noticeable. I have wrapped it
in shrink wrap for now to ensure it stays in the clip. A clip completely
covering the tracker would be optimal.

HI there @JaniHennes, thank you, indeed a full cover wold be nice. I was looking if there was a similar idea in our Feature Suggestion board, but I wasn't able to find one.

I bought a watch band on Amazon that holds my zip very snugly . I paid less than $6.00 for it including shipping

HI there @daisykat, good to see you here. I have never seen a watchband for the Fitbit Zip. But I'm glad you have found one that it works for you.

Just keep in mind these products are made by a third party and are not officially supported by Fitbit. So it might enter in conflict with the warranty policies if something goes wrong.

See you around and thank you for sharing this.

The reason I prefer the zip is that it does not have to be on your wrist. When shopping and trying on clothes, my charge was making it difficult. Many steps don't count when on your wrist and sleeping with it is cumbersome. I don't like buying a zip and having to keep paying to replace it though because the design allows it to flex and fall out easily. So I'm hoping I can prompt a design change. 😄
