If you're within twenty feet of your Zip, you should be able to force sync via your mobile device.
You should also be able to check your dashboard and see when you were last able to sync to your account.

Hi there @Beth93, I'm sorry to hear your Zip is at large. If you are using a mobile device you can use a any app that can track Bluetooth signals. For iOS you can try LightBlue - Bluetooth Low Energy (http://goo.gl/bAB5ST). For Android you can try Bluetooth Finder (http://goo.gl/CLyxgf). I think this is mentioned on the article mentioned by @Odyssey13, as other suggestions.
You can also contact our Support Team for additional tips, although keep in mind the warranty does not apply on stolen and missing tracker. But I'm sure they can give you other options.
Let us know how it goes and if you have more questions let us know.

Hi there @Beth93, using the LightBlue app does not require you to take any actions, more than just install it on your device. When you open the app it will try to detect any Bluetooth devices that are nearby.
However is require you narrow the places where you might have lost your tracker.
Note that if the device is closer to your mobile device, the signal will be stronger, so this will indicate your tracker is closer.
Hope this helps and if you need assistance, you can contact our Support Team.
