Magnet clip issues...

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Ever since I used the magnet clip my zip is constantly restarting my steps and the screen goes blank. I've tried everything to fix it, literally nothing works. I do not recomment using the magnet clip I have a feeling it messed with something inside my Fitbit because the magnet is obviously very strong, it has to be to clip on your pants and whatnot. Anyone else have similar issues?

It was after I used it they told me that. Have you used it?

If it was me, I'd ask my friend why she didn't mention her problem with it, especially if it did the same thing to her Zip.

Best thing to do is get a new Fitbit.

Next time someone offer you something and you're not sure about it, do a search on the internet to see exactly what you're getting.

Sorry this happened to you, but maybe it's kept another Zip owner from having the same problem.

Yeah, it's just a clip so I didn't assume that it would harm my Fitbit. And
they didn't think to tell me...not their fault. That's why I asked if
anyone has had the same issues, and was heading a friendly warning about
it. Thanks for the advice.

@jritah92 magnets can do strange things.

On vacation I learned the hard way not to put my hotel card key in the ame pocket as my cell phone. Seems the card won't work after being around the cell phone.

Years ago you didn't put a VHS tape or a floppy disk around magnets, either.

Yes, it definitely messed something up. It's a very strong little magnet,
and the clip works well it just shouldn't be near a Fitbit as I've found
out. As least I know now.

I have one of the clips secured by a magnet.  I bought in on eBay via vendors located overseas, probably China.  I didn't use the clip long enough to notice any damage to my ZIP.  The magnet seemed secure enough when not attached to anything, but the clip didn't stay in position and sometimes came loose completely, so I decided to stop using it.

I am guessing you've replaced your ZIP's battery since trying the clip?
