Hello, I am having numerous problems with the Fitbit.
Number one complaint: When I go to log and activities, it says I only burn 40 calories per 20 minutes of walking, which I believe is false. Every single tracker I have ever used and every calorie estimator I have used says that for a person my height/weight I burn about 87 calories per 20 minutes of walking. I know the fitbit says 40 cals because I entered it manually, so it's like half off.
Number two complaint: On the dashboard, it says I was active for 29 minutes, when in fact I was active for 49 minutes. I've used a Mystride for about a year and half and it doesn't count all my steps (which I know for a fact), but yet it says I've walked over double what this product says I walked. So, when I put in the 20 extra minutes of walking, it says I only burned 40 cals. It seems that everything is half off and that is just not right in my opinion.
Another problem is that on the website, when I enter my foods and stuff, it says "today, i can still eat..." I've read the manual and other help options and everything I read says that if I still have 50 calories left for the day, it will say that I'm in the zone. Mine says that I am over with 300 cals left for the day...
So, I just did a test. On my Log Activities area, I put in that I walked at an intensity of 2.5 MPH, for 20 minutes, which said I burned 40 cals. Then, I put in that I walked at an intensity of 5.0 MPH for 20 minutes, and it still said I burned 40 cals! It doesn't track things correctly. I would like to know if I'm doing something wrong or if I need to change something to make it work right. Otherwise, I'm going to return the stupid thing!

My first thought is that if you are wearing your Zip then you should let the Zip do the logging,. The manual log is for when the tracker cant not track, ie: levy the Zip home or your doing a non step based activity. If you do want to log this time then go to your activities page. Try this. Look to the right of log activities, you'll see a stopwatch wroth a plus sign. Use this.

My problem is that logging it manually, like when I forget to wear the Zip, doesn't give an accurate calorie burn, saying for 20 minutes of walking, no matter what intensity, I burn 40 calories. I do use the stopwatch with plus sign and that's what it shows 😞
