No steps and odd display icons

Twice this week my Fitbit has not recorded my steps and I keep getting icons on the screen that I have not seen before, after my all today it only records 200 and is now back on 0 ?

Do a restart. to do this remove the battery

@WendyB thanks for your input! @Steph44 welcome to t he forums! Smiley Happy It could be that the side spring may be bent as a result of improper battery insertion or pressure being applied to the back housing. Please verify that there is proper contact between the battery and the battery contacts inside your Zip tracker. 

 

You can do this by opening the battery door of your Zip, removing your battery, and ensuring that the silver battery tab located in the lower right half of your tracker is flush with the white box outline in the tracker housing. The process can be followed here.

you did not setup your Fitbit zip. you need to set it up using a mobile device
