Hey hey hey @KatieKachie welcome to our Community! It's great to have you on board!
I'd suggest you try the following:
1. Open the battery door using the black plastic battery door tool, and remove the battery.
2. Wait 10 seconds.
3. Place the battery back into the device making sure that the plus side is facing up.
4. Close the battery door.
5. Flip your Zip over and give it a tap. Its screen should function properly again.
Hope this helps, let me know the outcome! ![]()

While the battery is out please check the contacts. Especially the side one, it might need to be pushed out a very slight amount.

My fitbit doesnt show anything on the screen and also doesnt seem to be tracking my steps either. I've only had the device for 6 days and the app shows the battery is full.
I removed the battery and replaced it twice with no apparent reaction from the fitbit

I have read several people who have this issue...I am having it as well. I managed to put a small piece of cardboard between the battery and the cover and mine is working now. However, I have gone through 3 batteries since Christmas. The company needs to address this issue. As soon as I can I am purchasing something else....this is ridiculous.

I would pull the battery @Pammyjjones wait 10 seconds.
While waiting pull up a little on the bottom contact, and use a pin or small screw driver to bend the side contact in a little. I stick a pin down the side between the plastic and the metal. Idealy though it should be spreading the lower section of the contact out.
