Question on syncing

Right now I use a Surge 85% of the time but clip on my one when I wear my Garmin watch for running or my Apple Watch for dressup. I am just interested in steps when I am wearing the one.My one is getting old and I thought of getting a zip to replace it. I like how it does not need to be charged.

I sync my Surge and One through the Fitbit pp without any need for a computer. Will this be the same with the Zip? I ask because it has a dongle. THe one has a dongle but I never use it. WOuld I need the dongle with the zip?

TIA.

@allan473,

You do not need the dongle for the Zip.  It'll sync through just the Bluetooth LE hardware on your phone through the Fitbit App.

I hope this helps.

Oh, and for other folks reading the thread.  All newer Fitbit trackers (Classic and Ultra are the only exceptions) will sync with just Bluetooth LE.
