Hi, thinking of getting Fitbit Zip as cant wear wristband at work.  I know the Zip won’t count flights of stairs but will each stair be counted as a step?  I spend most of the time at work up and down stairs!

It should do but when going upstairs we don't tend to get such a firm step when placing our feet. If there's insufficient impact then there's a risk it won't be registered.

Welcome to the Forums @Williammia! Adding to @SteveH's awesome suggestion, manually logging an activity works well for those activities where step count isn't the best indicator of the calories burned.

You can use the activity log to improve the accuracy of this activity's contribution to your caloric burn. To do so you can read the help article How do I manually log an activity or exercise?

Catch you later! 🙂
