Tracking too many steps

The first time I synched my Fitbit today I should have had around 7k steps.  Instead it was showing 25k steps. I think it added yesterday's steps(18k) to today's.  I'm currently showing 36k & I been given two badges I didn't earn. Anyone else having this issue?

Hello @Itsjustlinda and welcome!, it's nice to see new faces around. Smiley Happy

It seems the steps from the day before were carried over. In this case I would like to suggest performing a restart on your tracker and then monitor it for the next 24 hours to check if the steps get carried over again, which should not happen after the restart.

To restart your tracker:

  1. Open the battery door using the battery door tool and remove the battery.
  2. Wait 10 seconds.
  3. Place the battery back into the tracker with the "+" side facing up, and close the door.

If the data does not reset at midnight again, my best recommendation would be contacting our Support Team. Please let them know about the situation as well as the badges you were granted, I'm sure they will be more than happy to get you back on track.

I hope this can be useful, feel free to reply in case you need anything else! Smiley Wink
