Today morning I walked for 90+ minutes and checked the stpes count. It showed 11870+ steps. But now it is showing 1187 steps. Alos every second day it gives a low battery message and after 30 minutes says battery is full.. Very unreliable

MKDESI: I am getting the similar situation. It started on Tuesday.

I've reset my Fit Zip, put in a new battery (it drained the one that was installed) and it's begun again. Besides losing my steps, it is hard to wake Zip up and often shows a time 3 hours after my time zone (middle of the Atlantic?). Then it drops to all counts to 0. And if I sync I lose more steps. What is going on, guys?

@MKDESI & @KMBlackbelt welcome to the forums! It's lovely having you guys around. Well, by what you guys are describing it sounds like the side spring may be bent as a result of improper battery insertion or pressure being applied to the back housing.

Please verify that there is proper contact between the battery and the battery contacts inside your Zip trackers. You can do this by opening the battery door of your Zip, removing your battery, and ensuring that the silver battery tab located in the lower right half of your tracker is flush with the white box outline in the tracker housing. This process can be followed here.

Hope this helps. Keep me posted!
