Zip counting backwards

I just received my new Zip and wore it all day yesterday.  I was quickly approaching 9000 steps by the time I had gotten home and when I looked down, I was barely over 8000 steps.  Later in the evening, I checked because I thought I had been mistaken on my first count and wanted to see if I had made any further progress only to find that my Zip was not at 7926.

Is it malfunctioning?

Thanks for taking a break from stepping to visit the Community @bakuebler! This sounds odd. What you can try is restarting your tracker to ensure that is working properly. Also, please double check that your timezone is correct.

Good luck and keep me posted with the outcome! 😉

How do I restart it? Pull the battery? I just got it, like literally I had only used it one day. It shouldn't be requiring a reboot I wouldn't think, considering I had just put the battery in the night before.
The time is accurate.
