My Zip is losing steps mid day just as Im over 10,000! Frustrating as it looks like I didn't meet my step goal!

This happened to me today. Now that I have to manually sycnch my zip, I forgot yesterday  and I snyched today after my walk.  Both days had over 11000 steps. The synch shows zero yesterday and 612 steps today.  I have dealt mentally with the battery issue but this is the limit

Welcome to the Forums @Pugmamma, and @sfhurrell! This sounds odd. @Pugmamma To make sure that your tracker is working correctly, please restart it. Also, log out from your app and reboot your mobile device. Once your phone is up, log back in.

@sfhurrell In this case, I would recommend checking the metal spring inside the Zip's battery compartment. Sometimes your tracker will have battery issues when this is bent. Here is a picture of how it should look like:

I hope this helps, keep me posted! 😉

P.S. @Pugmamma and @sfhurrell If you remember the number of steps deleted, you can manually log them

Update I was going for my walk yesterday. I looked at my Zip to gauge how many steps I needed. Zip reading: 1975 steps . I think I should synch.  I synch. Steps on phone 1025.  Steps on Zip now: 0

I will try the battery check tonight when I get home. I got this Zip in October 2017

Thanks for the update @sfhurrell! This is not the expected Zip behavior. Your Zip should not be clearing your steps all of a sudden. If after trying the suggested troubleshoot the issue persist, please let me know so I can be of more help.

I look forward for your reply! 🙂

The battery connections looked fine.
I rebooted as you suggested to the original poster and it seems "fine"
Thank you
