I have my Food Plan set to take off 250 calories per day. It's starting me out at about 1800 calories. I rode 16.3 miles on my bike this morning and logged it in as 536 calories burned. Though the log is showing the bike ride, the Zip isn't giving me credit for any extra calories to consume. Whether the ride is logged or I delete it, it still shows I can consume less than 1800 calories for the day. What gives? (I just checked setting the food plan to sedentary vs personal. Including having the bike ride logged in, with sedentary it gives me 1438 calories for the day to consume and with personal it gives me 1839.) I want to say that I don't seem to have this problem everyday. Most days because of my exercise I have plenty of calories to consume. There doesn't seem to be any rhyme nor reason to how this plan works.
Now, three hours after my initial post, the Zip is saying I have about 2050 calories available for the day. I've done nothing to cause this change. The food plan is set to personal. I really don't understand your "food plan" app. Logically, it seems I would start the day with a basic number of available calories which would be added to when I exercise. That total number of available calories should not change as the day progresses, but set on "personal", it does drop. Setting it on "sedentary" just takes away a whole bunch of available calories for the day. I'm about to give up on the food plan and on letting the app keep track of my available calories. I'll just use it to estimate calory intake for the day and do the rest myself.

@Edab thanks for joining us! I grant you that the Food Plan can be confusing at times. However, I have found some pretty awesome posts describing and thoroughly explaining the Food Plan. This other post explains how to create or edit your already existing Food Plan. I really hope this helps. Let me know if you have any other inquiry. I'll be around!
