Zip not syncing and displays incorrect time

After 3 years of using my zip without any problems, it is a new problem every day & it is not the ZIP. I got out my brand new Zip I got free from work & it is doing the same thing. I uninstalled the fitbit app from my new Android, thinking that was the problem but it continues to change the time of day, all day long, only sync's with my laptop when it wants to, & that is usually after it has cleared that days data because it changing the time so many times. I have never had any problems & I am upset! What in the Heck is going on?

Nice to see you here @robinlallen! Thanks for sharing your experience with Fitbit Zip. In this case, I would recommend checking the metal spring inside the Zip's battery compartment. Sometimes your tracker will have battery issues when this is bent. Here is a picture of how it should look like:
