Zip screen not shutting off

Recently pull my Zips out of storage. Updated to 5.9.

The screen remands active unless the Zip is completely immobile. The slightest movement activates it.

I saw and tried the trouble shooting of :

a) after inserting battery, it takes 30 minutes for the screen to shut down first time. This is true. Test on two separate units. But the slightest movement still activates the screen

b) Adjusted the metal prong, followed step by step provided by moderator. Again, did this on 2 separate units. Still remains active, unless left undisturbed on a table.

I know this is not normal for Zip units in the past- I uses to have to tap to active the screen. Even that 30 minute rule did not apply.

Suggestions? Can I role back the firmware to an older version?

I have the same issue.

Has anyone been able to find a solution to this issue?

Thanks,
