We will be on vacation for 3 weeks and away from the fitbit base station ,will the zip retain 3 weeks steps ,so I can download them on our return? Also any problems going through security at airports. Thanks

It can only store up to 7 days between syncs but it can store daily summary data for up to 30 days so you won't lose all the data, just the detail. There's more on this and other things to consider when travelling in this help file: https://help.fitbit.com/articles/en_US/Help_article/1374/
