Zip self destruction

Hi all, my zip has this week seemingly self destructed.. Think it's peeved that I bought a blaze

After buying my blaze I had planned to continue using my zip as I don't always want to wear a watch but still want to record my walking.. I have done so for a fortnight and they live happily together with the app.. But this weekend I noticed the rubber around the clip was disintegrating then today I noticed it wouldn't sync so unveiled it from its usual place.. The little coin pocket of my jeans, and facing inwards so it's protected only to find the screens cracked and displays garbled... Gutted as I look after it and can't figure out how it happened... It's not that old either, well late August so 8 months but still.. It's seemingly fallen apart on me and now I have to for out for another one 😞
