My Zip has started to randomly shut off, even while I am walking. And it's not just going into standby, it's completely shutting off, so when I do manage to wake it back up (by rigorously shaking it like a maniac), the time will be incorrect. It obviously does not count any steps during that time, either.
It's not the batteries, it literally happens when I just replaced the battery as well.
Does anyone else have that problem/a solution?

I've had this issue before, it's not the battery but the battery pins. They can get pushed down and to the side and cause loose connections. This picture isn't my own but it's a good illustration of what to do:
