My Zip has a fully charged battery and yet it is not functioning. Tapping to wake it is not working.
Has anyone experienced this? How do I fix it?
Thanks..Kat

Welcome to the Forums @Krimson! Thanks for sharing your experience with Fitbit Zip. Please make sure that you are using 3V coin battery, CR2025.
Also, sometimes the side spring may be bent as a result of improper battery insertion or pressure being applied to the back housing. Please make sure that there is proper contact between the battery and the battery contacts inside your Zip tracker.
You can do this by opening the battery door of your Zip, removing your battery, and ensuring that the silver battery tab located in the lower right half of your tracker is flush with the white box outline in the tracker housing. You can follow the process in this post of @vomitofthemind.
Keep me posted with the outcome! 🙂

What an idiotic answer. I know you answered this a year ago or something, but talk about unhelpful! Someone says their "battery is fully charged" but they can't sync, so you tell them how to check the battery. Are you retarded? Now anyone having trouble who googles this comes up with your stupid, unhelpful answer. **ahem**.

In fairness, I was having the same problem So I removed the battery, reinstalled it, and it began working again.
