I have tried restarted the app, restarted the zip, and I tried very thing out to get to updated. I started at midnight to 12:00 in the afternoon and it won’t update just keeps saying waiting.

Hi @Ruthrabbits the Zip doesn't get updates now, unless you mean the Fitbit app update. Once a device is no longer being manufactured and sold, it only receives updates for two years. The Zip was retired a while back. You can read more about it here - click to see article.
Noticed you posted on the Flex forum, too. Same thing applies there.
