My zip earlier this week wouldn't sync, had to do all the steps (someone suggested) to get it to work again, syncing is an occasional mess, it happens occasionally. Now this morning it wouldn't reset, I continued with steps from the day before so now unfortunately I am winning a challenge. Is my fitbit wearing out? What can I do to fix these problems?

Thanks for stopping by @Sandralane! This sounds weird. This is not the expected behavior for your Zip tracker. I would recommend checking the metal spring inside the Zip's battery compartment. Sometimes your tracker will have battery issues when this is bent. Here is a picture of how it should look like:
