I was just given my daughter's old fitbit, a Zip. Unlike her, I don't have a smart phone of any sort and don't know a lot of things many people seem to know automatically these days. She sent it after I lost my old pedometer I'd used for years.
Someplace there MUST be directions on how to get it to do what I want it to do: COUNT my bloody steps! My old pedometer counted the number of steps and how long (hours, minutes, seconds) I walked. I'd re-set it every day, and that's really all I ever tracked or worried about. I know a fitbit can do a lot more, but right now I just want to know how to get these very basic functions going. Or, rather, how to access the information; I'm sure the unit is already counting my steps and how long they take. I just do NOT know how to access any of it on that tiny screen. I've touched it and sometimes it's shown a large-ish number, sometimes a time, but I don't KNOW what to push or press, or how or when, to get it to show me the results!
Oh, and it would also be handy to be able to re-set the count periodically.
Is there some sort of new-user-guide or manual I could download?
After I discover how to manage these basics, maybe I'll be interested in some of whatever else it is fitbit offers. But please, someone tell me at least how to get my step-count to show!

It does take a bit of getting used to!
Here's a link to the manual which will hopefully get you started:

Thanks, Steve; that looks like what I need! BTW, love your handle. 🙂
