replaced battery but steps haven't reset

I replaced the battery but my steps or calories won't reset any ideas please

Welcome to the Fitbit Community @rowmel! I hope you're doing great! 

Let me help you out, try these troubleshooting steps:

 

  1. Open the battery door using the black plastic battery door tool or a quarter and remove the battery.
  2. Wait 10 seconds.
  3. Place the battery back into the device making sure that the plus side is facing up.
  4. Close the battery door, then flip your Fitbit Zip™ over and give it a tap. The display should work as normal.
