Zip has stopped working, probably due to perspiration.  Removed the battery.  Put in rice for a day and a half.  Is there any possiblility of a replacement.

thanks

I'd like to add that sometimes the side spring may be bent as a result of improper battery insertion or pressure being applied to the back housing. Please verify that there is proper contact between the battery and the battery contacts inside your Zip tracker. You can do this by opening the battery door of your Zip, removing your battery, and ensuring that the silver battery tab located in the lower right half of your tracker is flush with the white box outline in the tracker housing. The process can be followed here. If the issue persits feel free to contact our Customer Support team and let them know about this.

Hope this helps, let me know how it goes! Smiley Happy

I'd be surprised if sweat did it. These trackers are pretty darn resilient, although stranger things have happened. If you're in the warranty period, I would absolutely suggest contacting Fitbit Support if your tracker doesn't come back to life. Even if you're out of it, there might be something they can do for you.

Thank you for this information.  My Fitbit Zip stopped working about 5 days ago.  I replaced the battery but it still didn't work.  I looked at these instructions and used a very small screwdriver to help pull out the contact on the lower part of the battery case.  Don't know how it got pushed inward, but my Zip works now.  I am very happy to not have to return it!

It looks so easy in the pictures.

But picture 2 is not how my spring looked, mine looked like a squished triangle, and attempting to fit the smallest screwdriver I had into it to open it up just got in, then ripped the spring off when I tried to adjust it.

Seeing how the spring was bent so far out of shape I can understand how my batteries never lasted more then two months.
