Hi there @SunsetRunner, good to see you around and thank you for bring this to my attention. I was commenting this with other user of the community that is experiencing the same scenario and I'm really sorry you are going through this issue too.
Note that the issue was properly reported and our development team is working hard on resolved this glitch that came with the new updates of the iOS app and iOS firmware. Right now the only workaround I can share with you is force quitting the app in order for your Hear rate date updates. Essentially the same thing you have been doing so far.
The other provisional option is to review your Heart rate using the Web-based Dashboard. I know is not too convenient, but you can access from your web browser of your phone.
I will give follow up to this issue and if I have more updates, rest assure I will let you know.
