Hi. I have had a Fitbit Alta HR for a month. I am enjoying the information I'm getting and the size. I wanted to get the special edition but was told that you can't have two of the same model Fitbits on the same account. I decided to purchase the Charge 2 special edition. Also purchased one for my husband...he has an Alta HR as well. I have just set up the new Charge 2 which was very easy to add. Now I have some confusion. The little fitbit & battery indicator at the top of the screen is now for the Charge 2 and the heartbeat icon is not showing anything. Currently the Charge 2 is being charged and I'm still wearing the Alta HR. Is this normal? I usually look at the heartbeat in the app because I have difficultly tapping my Alta HR to get that information. I do see how you can view the information for each Fitbit...but am I out of luck for quickly viewing the battery status of both Fitbits on the main app screen? Also am I out of luck for viewing the heartbeat info on the main screen if I'm wearing the Alta HR? Any other tips or information I should know abut having 2 different Fitbits?
Thanks for any help,
Lisa

@nhlisa I hope I can help you with some of your questions. I go between a Charge 2 and an Ionic. I have had the same experience with wearing one tracker, but seeing the other icon on the dashboard. When it has happened, it seems that the trackers were too close to each other and my phone. Keeping them apart has stopped the problem for me.
To see your heartbeat in real time on the app dashboard, there is a setting that has to be made on your fitbit.com (web) dashboard. The setting is Live Data. To get to it, go to your fitbit.com dashboard >> click on the Gear >> click on settings. Click on your Alta HR, then make sure that Live Data is set to Enabled. Do the same for your Charge 2.
You can check on either device battery from the app dashboard. Tap on the Account icon. You will see all your devices with their battery strength -- but it is full (green), medium (yellow), low (red)-- not a percentage.
My only other piece of advice is the following. Fitbit says you can just go from one tracker to another and it will reconcile the data. Except when it doesn't. There are threads about losing steps. I think the best way to avoid losing steps is to manually sync one tracker before switching to the other.
