My account recently got hijacked. March 7 was the last time FB sent me my weekly update. I called in to get wrist band options since the bands I have irritate my wrists. In the process when I went to see which email it was. under on my iPhone app, account settings, change email was a strange email. The FB tech said to log out so I did and then I couldn't get back in to my account. The FB tech said there was nothing they can do which means I lost 3 years worth of data. However, I didn't give up and asked them to escalate the call, which they couldn't do, so I asked to talk to security. They sent me an email from security and confirmed my account was hijacked. I could no long log in under any account and they could not see the email which I have been using for 3 years. Now the good news. FB security was able to locate my account and confirm it was hijacked. They sent me a password reset which I did and had to set my charge 5 back up at which point my data was restored. However your personal data will not be restored until you setup your device. I through I had lost all my data but it has all been restored. So. remember if your account gets hijacked
1. always use a unique password
2. connect with FB. security and explain your situation. You may have to confirm your ID and account
3. redownload the app
4. reset your password after they restore your account
5. set up your device again
May I suggest to FB that they have telephone or alternate emails as another way to confirm accounts.
