Active SPO2 monitoring

We are not yet FitBitters, but the health monitoring features of the new Versa 4 looks interesting.

My wife has COPD and generally bad things happen when her oxygen saturation falls below 90%.  I am looking for a wearable that would allow user to set a threshold level that when breached would message bluetooth device/phone?

The small blurbs I'm seeing on website seems to indicate an average oxygen saturation as part of sleep cycle monitoring...  I see the user can select the SPO2 clockface but can't tell if this is an active (periodic?) SPO2?

I'm seeing lots of possibilities for application developers, in my little pea brain.

Can you folks shed some light?

Andy

First, note spo2 monitoring is active only when asleep at night, not during the day, and not on-demand; that is a non-starter for many.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.

I have Fitbit Versa 3 I have COPD. I’m on oxygen 24/7 sleep with oxygen connected to a cpap. The spO2 on my Fitbit doesn’t work most of the time nor does Fitbit record my sleep.  About all it does is my steps.  I wouldn’t count of Fitbit for spO2 monitoring if it does record spO2 you want know until you wake up and look at the app.

Hello @AndyTrout and welcome to the Community.  SpO2 monitoring with a Fitbit is clearly marked "Not intended for medical purposes" in its description in the Health Metrics section.  There is no instant feedback, no type of alarm.  You need to look elsewhere for a device that meets your needs,
