Just got my Versa yesterday and it is not updating my activities. I just finished a 6 km hike with lots of uphill and no activity was logged. I use an iPhone 8 Plus, IOS 12.2.

It’s not showing correctly in the online dashboard... same as shown in app...

I’m having the same issue as another where my days exercise is not updating despite 30-60 minutes of activity being logged. Is there an update on this issue?

Best Answer

I forgot to mention, but I have a charge HR. When I called the support team they said that if my heart rate doesn’t stay consistently above a certain amount for a consecutive 10 minutes, then the exercise won’t log as a day. They advised I reset all my goals to a 10 minute minimum, which I did, but my days of exercise are still not updating despite showing 30-60 minutes of activity completed.

I came to this thread by way of a link from an older thread that had posts from 2017 and 2018. It sounds like the team has been working on this issue for well over a year. They must not really be working very hard on it. If this issue isn’t fixed soon I am going to trash my Fitbit and get something from another company.

This current trail of comments is the continuation of one which Fit Bit chose to close down as it was old. The issue is in excess of 2 years old and is now exhibiting itself again. In my case my Fit Bit Surge last updated daily activities on Tuesday of this week (23rd April 2019). I have cycled every day since and none of these appear in the Dashboard which only shows 2 of 7 weekly exercise. To keep suggesting that people put their information in manually is a laugh - I can use my cycle computer which cost £20 not a Fit Bit at £150. Poor customer service when so many are reporting the issue on the site.

Again today (Saturday) all of my exercises that had auto detected just fine all week long (Monday through Friday) just disappeared from my exercise log. If had my Fitbit since October and only had this problem in the last month or so.

Hello @The_Leprechaun thanks for joining the Fitbit Community, it's great to have you on board. It's nice to see you too @sheen084 I hope you're doing well.

First of all, I would like to apologize for the delay in the response. I understand you concern about this situation not being resolved yet. As mentioned earlier, our team is actively working on resolving this situation but we do not have a specific timeframe for when it will be resolved and providing one will be irresponsible on my part.

Thanks for your patience an understanding, thanks for all you feedback.

Hi, my Versa is not syncing - it’s offering an app update but it’s just not working either...it just says ‘searching’.  I’ve left it for 30mins in charge and still not updated or synced.  Doesn’t look as though I’ve done anything for a week!!!

any ideas? Thank you

Hello @Paulinejk thanks for joining the conversation, it's great to have you on board the Fitbit Community.

I appreciate you have joined us and let us know about this situation. If your Versa is not syncing correctly, it's possible because it needs to be updated first. Before you begin the firmware update, make sure your watch is plugged into the charger and in range of your Wi-Fi network during the update. For best results, use your home or work Wi-Fi network. If you've never connected your watch to WiFi, see How do I connect my Fitbit watch to Wi-Fi?. If your Versa is having trouble updating with WiFi, please try the following:

  1. Make sure your watch is connected to the Wi-Fi network you want to use.
  2. Move your watch closer to your router.
  3. Make sure your router is connected to the internet.
  4. Restart your watch by holding the back (left) and bottom buttons until you see the Fitbit logo.
  5. Try again to update your watch.

If the update fails, restart your mobile device and try to update again. If your Versa can't update over WiFi follow the on-screen instructions in the Fitbit app to update your watch over Bluetooth instead. Note that firmware updates over Bluetooth may take significantly longer to complete. If the Versa is having trouble updating through Bluetooth try the following:

  1. Try turning Bluetooth on and off on your phone.
  2. Restart your watch by holding the back (left) and bottom buttons until you see the Fitbit logo.
  3. Try again to update your watch.
  4. Restart your mobile device and try to update again.

Thanks for your patience and understanding, give this a try and let us know the outcome.

It’s Sunday, June 7, 2019. My Blaze is not updating my exercise. Walked 6.5 miles, 122 active minutes, 14195 step and no day added to the exercise icon on dashboard. I’ve logged out, restarted phone and logged back in. That didn’t help. I restarted Blaze as well. Nothing works to give me my daily exercise day.

If a company has developers that after nearly 3 years, can't resolve an issue that affects the basic functionality of why we bought the device in the first place, it's either time for them to find new developers or for us to find a new company.

Currently, we are unable to reproduce what is reported here. Since this is an older report, we are going to close this thread. If activities are still not loading, please start a new thread. Helpful things to include in your report would be:

  • Can you see your activities on Fitbit.com? Is it just the iOS app that doesn't show activities?
  • Is this happening to all of your activities?
  • If it's only happening to some, which activities and when did this occur?
  • Provide any screenshots showing the issue.

Thank you!
