My friend and I are sitting together trying to add each other but we’re stumped. Suggestions?

@HeckMom  Here is the Help article with all the advice available for adding friends.  Can you be more specific?  Where does the process fall apart?

The user interface for adding friends was nothing short of horrific, but eventually I was able to get my friend added.

 

If one of you is signed up, you can 'invite' the other one. Alternatively if you are both signed up, you can locate one another based on how you signed up (email, facebook). From there you simply add your friend. Frustrating, and so far I can't see much that having a friend does other than allow you to view some very basic details - but I am still exploring the app.
