Adding workout classes to app manually

I'm currently trying out the app before I choose which FitBit to buy. I regularly go to Gold's Gym BodyStep and other classes, and would love to be able to add BodyStep specifically (or step class, even) to my exercise on the app, but can't find it as an option. Today I plugged in aerobics instead, but if there's a better work around I'd love to know it! Also I assume when I'm wearing a band it'll recognize that I'm doing high intensity activity during these classes, but for now my app has no clue I took any steps during a step class! How can I update this?

Welcome to the Fitbit Community @annierachel! The exercises you find in the Fitbit app come in a predetermined way and there are some that don't appear there. However, you can still log them as Custom Activities in the log section of the Online Dashboard.

Fitbit trackers with heart rate recorder are the best to get the most accurate caloric burn and track high intensity activities. Your app can be lost while tracking activities if these require to stay still on the same place i.e: gym activities. Once again manually logging activities is the best way to get that information that your device couldn't catch at that time.

With this being said, I also would like to answer your last question, and no, there's no way to update that.

I hope this clarifies your inquiry.
