All previous data disappears from iOS app

It shows the steps from today but 0 steps yesterday, 16 the day before 7 the day before that, etc.

As it happens I get the weekly progress report emails and got one on the 4th, shows plenty of data for that week.

I've gone back a month and it's all low steps.  Curiously it shows miles, so some days with 3-4 miles but well under 20 steps for that date.

Overnight it has depleted my steps on random days over the last 6 months. From this Tuesday I went from over 11K down to to 8K for no reason? My averages for all months of this year are now less than they were at the end of each month when I took a screen shot. I’m seriously so annoyed - I had 2025 goals I was trying to hit and now my data is completely jacked for no rhyme or reason.

And now, today, it erased over 6200 steps that I had yesterday.

It now shows 0 for yesterday.

This is a Charge 4 paired to the latest iOS app on iPhone 16 Pro Max.

I have the same problem. I am hoping this gets fixed and our data comes back.

I'm starting to suspect that my Charge 4 may just be on its last legs.

Yesterday I went on a walk, logged just over 4 miles, about 9300 steps for the day.  But during my walk, the number of steps was jumping around, up or down over 1000 steps before it finally settled on a number.  I checked the app but also checked the device itself.  Maybe I misread it in the bright sun but it's not the first time that during the day the readings would jump around all over the place.

I compared against my Apple Watch, which generally tends to have several hundred fewer steps because I believe it depends on my swinging the arm consistently whereas sometimes I'm holding something with my left arm -- which is why I keep the tracker in my pocket rather than wear it on my wrist.

There are rumors that the Charge 7 could come out this year and that it might bring back the feature of counting floors climbed.

However, it appears I can no longer view the years of data I've accumulated so I'm not sure why I should bother.  Not that I was scrolling back years of data but I always liked that it was there.  I guess it's useful to see near-term trends, like the last week or month or year.

Apple Health, I don't know how far you can go back but I wouldn't want to do it on an iPhone screen.  However, there is an iPad app so I'm syncing my Health data to view on a bigger screen.  Google took that away by getting rid of the web Dashboard.

Well now all my data is back, after being gone after 1 day for about a week.

But my weekly digest emails showed that the steps for every day were there, even if the Fitbit app wouldn't display them.
