Alta HR Syncing Issues

I've never had an issue syncing my Fitbit until I switched from my iPhone to a Pixel 3a. Now, whenever I try to sync the app will just say "refreshing" or "looking for device". I've also gotten it to say syncing, but that only happens for a second and it doesn't actually sync. The past few times, I've been able to get it to sync by turning my phone off, turning the Bluetooth on and off, and logging out/back into the app. Feel like having to do this every time I want to sync my device is a bit excessive. I've also tried uninstalling & reinstalling the app which didn't help either.

Is there anything I can do to fix this and not have it be a 5-10 min process to try and sync my Fitbit?

Hello @Kaydee4g63

Welcome to the Fitbit Community. I see your having trouble syncing your Fitbit Tracker. I would suggest restarting your Fitbit tracker to see if that does indeed resolve the issue. You didn’t mention the Fitbit Tracker type in your post. No worries....just check here and find your Fitbit type and follow the restarting instructions: https://help.fitbit.com/articles/en_US/Help_article/1186/?q=Restart&l=en_US&fs=Search&pn=1

😃 please let me know if this resolves your issue and provides you with an answer. Keep me posted

Hi, I also had the same problem syncing with my pixel 3a...until today when I changed my location permissions to 'Always' (previously it was set to 'Only when using the app') and voila, it started syncing. Maybe this works for you and maybe it will work for other phone models having sync issues too, I know how frustrating it is when it doesn't work like it should. Cheers
