Hello. I recently bought an iPhone 6s and after software updates my Alta hr was the only thing that Bluetooth could find. Apple asked me to reset network settings and now everything but the Alta hr has been found. I have deleted and reinstalled app. Relogged into app. Reset phones network settings again. Turned Bluetooth off while relogging into app. Turned phone on and off mulitiple times. Reset the Alta hr off and on again and still Bluetooth can’t find it. Please help.
Moderator Edit: Clarified Subject.

Hello @Gypsyk11, have a warm welcome to the Fitbit Community, it's great to have you on board.
Please keep in mind that the Fitbit trackers might not appear in your Bluetooth settings as they sync using the Fitbit app and not directly through here. The trackers appear once you have enabled Notifications or All-day Sync as they are required to establish a Bluetooth link in order for these features to work.
Is your Alta HR syncing correctly? Which OS version is your phone running? Have you updated the Fitbit app? If you have and your tracker is not syncing correctly I would like to suggest you the following:
If your Alta HR is still not syncing correctly my best recommendation would be setting up your tracker as a new device to reset the connection between your tracker and your phone. Don't worry, none of the information previously stored in your account will be deleted.
To set up the tracker as a new device:
I hope this can be helpful, give it a try and let me know the outcome.

I tried both of these and neither worked

I am having the same issues. I have tried both of these solutions as well. It was working with my iPhone 6 for about 6 weeks and then just stopped syncing. I tried everything for about 2 weeks with no luck.
I upgraded to an iPhone 8 five days ago. My Fitbit synced for 2 days with the new phone & now has stopped syncing again. I have only had this Fitbit for 2 months.
After researching, I have noticed this is a common problem. Please fix this bug. We paid a lot of money to your company & invested in a product to better our health. We deserve to have that product work correctly. Thank you.

Same issue. I own both a Charge 2 and an Alta. Since I changed iPhones yesterday, neither device shows up on the bluetooth setting. Both simply search endlessly when I attempt to sync.

Update: I don't know if this will help others, but I still have my old phone. I checked to be sure I had "forgotten" all the devices on the old phone, then shut it completely off again. Soon the new phone was recognizing both of my fitbits. It hasn't caught up on the data yet, but it seems to be trying, at least.

I ended up chatting with customer service. I had my kindle fire’s Bluetooth on & it was interfering with the iPhone’s ability to connect to the Fitbit.

I’m having this same issue. I just finished trying both “solutions” and neither of them worked. The app won’t get past “looking” for my device. And since I “forgot this device” in my Bluetooth settings, now my Bluetooth isn’t finding it at all anymore. And since I am a shift worker, I heavily rely on being able to set my silent alarm every night. Please help!

This is what resolved my issue: make sure no other devices that have Bluetooth (tablet, another phone, etc.) have their Bluetooth on when you are attempting to sync your Fitbit. My Bluetooth from my tablet was interfering. Everything has been going just fine ever since

Hmmm...then I would chat with a rep from Fitbit. When I contacted them, he was able to look into what was causing my problem. It took maybe 5 minutes. Good luck!

Had the same issue. In the end it was my old iphone causing the issue and once deleted from the phone, my Alta HR would sync again with my Samsung Galaxy Note 9. Thanks for the help on this forum, solved my issue!
