My ALTA stopped syncing a few days ago. I tried all the suggestions I could find but I still cannot get it to work. I went to Settings and Forgot Device and then tried to add it back on Fitbit app. I get to the third screen. At the top it says Not working? It tells me to make sure tracker is charged, make sure Alta is nearby and to turn off Bluetooth on mobile device, then turn it back on again.
Tracker is charged, Alta is charged and is sitting on top of my phone. I have turned Bluetooth on and off lots of times.
Searching message is constantly buffering at bottom of screen.
Help!!!

- I’ve tried everything you suggested: restarting the phone and fitbit, turning the Bluetooth on and off, and deleting the fitbit from the phone. Now, as I try to reinstall the fitbit to my phone, the phone is continually searching and unable to find the device.

Hi,
Thanks for your response. I have an AltaHR. Yes, I have tried restarting it and I have no other Bluetooth devices nearby.

I had the same problem. Finally, I called Fitbit. The tech support person was very helpful and patient. He got it to sync by doing the exact same things I had been doing, except he told me to push the reset button on the fitbit charger faster. The directions say to push the reset button three times within eight seconds. So, I was waiting about two seconds between each time I pushed the button. When he told me to just push it three times quickly, that worked. Good luck! I hope that works for you.

Alta HR not syncing with iPhone XR-all of the sudden....no new equipment, same old things I’ve had for over a year now, but tonight it stops working. Read through the forums and tried everything multiple times. Someone even said she pushed the reset button-there is NO reset button....help! And Marco at Fitbit, don’t you dare tell me to try and set up a new device, because I tried that, and it doesn’t work!!
thanks

I did this and lost all my data from the last time I synced. No sleep, no run this morning, no steps. Reset to zero. I assume there is nothing I can do to get that back.

I don’t think there is anything else to do. I wasn’t so concerned with
resetting to zero, but I can understand how that would be frustrating!

My Alta HR is paired with the I-Phone, after following the instructions to remove the old, and setting up new. However, I'm still unable to open the individual categories, to add ounces, food, weight, etc., which was the original problem. I charged the Alta HR, after which this problem occured. Please advise. Many thanks, ROnnie
