My Alta is loosing steps as I walk ... I did a 5.5km walk this morning which equalled 5700ish steps on my fitbit app (I tracked it through the app, and I have also worked out my stride length and adjusted that). According to my Alta I did 4300 steps and walked 4km. I know fitbits are not precise, but that is a big loss of about 300 steps/km. When I first got my Alta the app would change the steps taken on my Alta ... now whatever is reading on my Alta is changed on the app.
Is there any way I can change the settings so the Alta and app work together, and correct steps will be updated onto my Alta instead of on the app???
Thanks

Hello @kerryberry1977, thanks for joining us, it's great to see new faces around.
I understand you have adjusted your stride length before and your tracker seems to be innacurate with your steps and distance. First I would like to suggest going to your personal settings on the online dashboard, then scroll down until you see Stride Length. Please mark Set Automatically and sync your tracker.
After that, please restart your tracker and monitor it for the next 24 hours. Check if you see any discrepancy in your steps.
Give it a try and keep me posted!

Hello @kerryberry1977, I hope you're doing well.
The previous instructions are intended for changing the timezone using an internet browser, by going to the Fitbit website and then on your personal settings. If you'd like to use an Android phone, please open the Fitbit App, tap on Account > Advance Settings. You'll be able to enable automatic timezones and automatic location, please remember to sync your tracker afterwards after changing any setting. If changing the setting on your phone does not correct the time, please try using the online Dashboard.
I hope this can be helpful, keep me posted in case you need anything else!
