I am so disappointed on this whole thing ..... I had the charge.... thought this would be better but!! Sadly mistaken.. wont sync/ have to tap the crap out of it to get it to wake up! it has flown off my wrist twice because of the strap... I sold a brand new flex.... wish I would have kept it!! wonder if they will take this back and give me a Charge back.

Welcome aboard @Kateofmahomet. I'm sorry you are experiencing syncing issues with your Alta tracker. I was wondering if you were able to try the troubleshooting steps under the article How do I troubleshoot syncing problems? It's also really important to have your tracker and mobile device fully charged before attempting a sync.
Also, if you are having a hard time tapping the tracker, make sure you are actually tapping on the right place, this post might help you out.
The Alta tracker is a really good device and I'm sure you will enjoy it very much. Any other questions, feel free to post back.
