As of today, Nov 2, 2025, my fitbit app ver 4.55.1 on an iPad is not working in several areas. My device is Versa 4. The app will not allow me to open and view a current walk under "Exercise days." When I tap to open the walk, the entire app closes and goes to iPad home screen.
The app shows a blank screen for Heart bpm.
Under Steps, the hourly step count is not updating.
My hourly activity was set to 9 am - 6 pm. This morning, the app is showing it as 7 am - 2 pm. It will not allow me to reset the schedule. When I try to reset, it changes, but not to the setting I chose.
There are some other screwy items. Some things seem to work normally.
Please, please fix this promptly.

@Mikey2 this is a long-standing issue with the Fitbit app. It does not seem likely that it will be fixed today. Everything will be back to normal tomorrow though.

Okay, thanks. Hope you're right. Tomorrow would be fine.
There are lots of chronic problems with this app and with Fitbit. Some apparently will never be fixed.

I really don’t understand why changing of the clocks causes so many issues. It works fine when you change time zones while traveling. Seems like it’s the same basic principle, but apparently not. As long as it’s back to normal after a day I guess Fitbit will be in no hurry to fix it.

Can't look at heart rate for the "today." either.
Adding this to the other "today" categories that have never been fixed: steps, mindfulness days. Can't set new goals either or make meals. I thought once everyone was transitioned to Google features would be fixed or added again. Sigh. Seriously looking at another fitness tracker.

I agree. You'd think a giant like Google would care about their products, but I guess they don't. Quite frankly, they should be ashamed with the bugs in the Fitbit software, and doubly ashamed that they don't fix them.
I am also planning on switching to another fitness app. Also a long time subscriber to Consumer Reports and this will definitely make my annual survey response.

Same problem. Can see my weekly, monthly, etc. HR data, but not the daily HR data.
Have an issue with my active hours every time we have the time change, and yet it never seems to be a problem when I change time zones, even huge time changes (like 12 hours when traveling internationally). Some other data (e.g., sleep) is displaying sporadically.
Just nuts that they can't fix these kinds of problems after all of these years.

New version is glitchy as hell. Do these developers not even test. They seem to just throw crap out there and see what happens. Last couple of days most of the time when I switch to the app the big cardio load circle is just a gray circle, as is the sleep circle. I have to close it and see if it works next time. When I click the sleep circle, most of the time the sleep stages graph is just missing.
Shameful.

alexthecat,
You were right! The app seems to be working okay today, as it was on Nov 1 and before. How did you know? 😊
Now can you fix the other stuff? Still missing all my Fitbit One data from late August 2024 until some day in May 2025 when I caved in a bought a Versa 4. The Versa presents all the historical data, but the missing data never showed.
And of course, why can't we get the great Windows Dashboard back?

@Mikey2 I knew your Fitbit app would start working right today, because this happens twice a year, whenever the time changes. It's been going on for years and it always goes back to normal the next day.
I don't have any ideas about your missing historical data. I know that lots of people are experiencing the same problem, but I don't know how to solve it. Sorry
