The app update has resulted in less data being available. The data is collected and visible on my Charge 5 at the end of an activity, but the data is not visible in the app or in my online account. This makes all the information less valuable. In the app:
I can't edit the exercise type (for example, I can't change a "Workout" to Yoga, Pilates, HIIT like I could in the old app. Heck, I was even able to create a new label: “mowing the lawn”).
I can't determine the length of an activity down to the second (the activities are rounded up to the minute).
I can't consistently see heart rate data in each workout (sometimes the graph appears, sometime not), and specific HR data is no longer provided (like my max HR).
This data is more important to me than the "Health Metrics," which I never look at.
I'm glad I sync my FitBit data to Strava: I can see data from a FitBit recorded walk, run, hike, ride, etc. (like moving time and total elapsed time) in Strava. Unless FitBit fixes the app, I will have to upgrade to a Garmin or Apple product in the future.
Platforms: FitBit app (4.06), Charge 5 (20001.194.91) & Apple iPhone 12 (iOS 17.1.2)

I do the same thing. I use the Fitbit to track steps and the morning alarm. Gooble took a great product and made it useless.

I am having a similar issue. I was able to modify the exercise category in previous versions of the app.

Heartily agree with all these comments.
The app now is being dumbed down in many ways it seems. No longer can change name of an excercise, which results in my lawn mowing being called Outdoor Bike, and my gardening being called Walk. Previously could add a different name from my list of excercises to fix this. It appears I can also not add an exercise name to my list of activities, just pick from pre filled list of names.
There is also no way to edit on the web browser anymore, so this system has become near worthless. And I won’t even start on the constant Gooble “offer” to change to their account. No more please, leave my Fitbit Inspire HR alone, already. I did not ask for anything Gooble, ever!

I haven't used the app in a few weeks, but now i try to, i cant log in via my account details, and trying to use the new google login tells me Im trying to access another fitbit account. ( cant help feeling its still my account, its just not connected)... No help on google either... Poor show... Thanks for my ten year badge by the way. wondering though if ill get to 11 years!
