I have been with Fitbit for a long time, through premature battery failures, blacked out displays. I have stuck with them primarily because I loved their app. Before purchasing the Charge 6 I checked with support to make sure I would still be able to sync and use my new tracker. They assured me I was good until 2025. I got the Charge 6 and I cannot sync it without migrating to a new google account, they lied. So unhappy with google!!!!

You do need a google account, but there is a procedure to transfer all of your fitbit to you new account and you can sync to it, so it will have all your history, just in a google login account.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.
