App displays yesterday's data when I open it in the morning

I don't know how long this has been going on, but for at least the last several days when I open the app in the morning, I see yesterday's data in "Today". When I sync, it changes the view to "Yesterday" and I can tap either the calendar icon or the arrow to get to "Today". I would have expected a sync to change the view to "Today". Force-quitting the app and re-opening shows today's data.

I'm on iOS app v4.06 (which I have had for about a week, despite the forum thread announcing it yesterday).

This feels like a bug, but I wouldn't be surprised to find they did that on purpose. Is this happening to anyone else?

a couple of days ago I upgraded my iPhone SE third generation 217.2.1. At the same time I noted a firmware update for my charge tracker and did the update install. I have not noticed any difference in the iOS app version 4.06 since completing the two updates. I am a blind user who has never seen the screen on his phone or tracker, so I do not know if the update affected screens on the tracker I can tell you that as someone who uses Apple‘s voiceover screen reading software, I have not noticed any improvements.

This morning when I opened the Fitbit app a message came up, which occurs with some regularity that I need to be connected to Wi-Fi in order to open the application. I do not have Wi-Fi in my home and have never had Wi-Fi in my home and I closed out of the Fitbit app, and then reopened it. For the first time in weeks, today’s data showed up on the home screen. Because I was required to vary my normal routine of opening Fitbit. I cannot honestly say that the problem has been corrected, but this is the first time in a long time that I have opened the Fitbit app and received today’s data.  I am using an iPhone SE third generation with a 5G plus connection. I am running iOS 17.2.1 Fitbit application version 4.06 and the most recent upgrade to the charge firmware that I recently upgraded to last week. I have dictated this on my iPhone, and hope you will be able to understand my ramblings. I am a blind user using Apple‘s voiceover screen, reading software . Best wishes to all for happy, healthy and prosperous new year Mark, alias Podunk

Mine randomly shows correct data. For example yesterday I opened Fitbit app
& it showed today’s data. When I opened the app this morning it was back to
showing yesterdays data & I had to toggle back & forth to get todays data.
It occasionally shows correct days data & I think great, it’s fixed but
next day it’s not. Hopefully they’ll get this straightened out soon!

It’s January 2 and the Fitbit app is back to Schwing previous days data. Yesterday was an anomaly.

iPhone 12 mini. IOS 17.1.2. Fitbit app 4.06. Stats are from previous day. Sleep sometimes not recorded when there is an interruption during the night (first session recorded, second session not recorded). Manual update does not correct this issue properly.

Any updates as to when this problem will be fixed? It’s been almost a month now! It shouldn’t take this long!!

Yesterday I downloaded version 4.08. Yesterday and today when I opened the Fitbit app, I was surprised to see current data and not the prior days information. So far so good and it appears that we will no longer have to use a workaround to get to the current days Information.

I saw the same this morning BUT in the past I have seen correct days data
only to find that the next day it’s back to same problem showing
yesterday’s data. It would be correct occasionally. I will wait and see if
correct data shows up tomorrow. I did notice this morning my data was very
slow to come up. I thought it was another problem. Only data that came up
was steps & heart rate. I tapped on sleep tile & found my sleep info for
today. I then toggled back to today page & all data was there.

Same here. So far seems to be fixed in 4.08.

@LizzyFitbit - can you confirm if this issue was actually fixed in 4.08?

After updating to 4.08 I thought it fixed the yesterday’s data problem but it only did for a few days which was probably a coincidence. I opened app this morning & same problem showing yesterday’s data & had to toggle back & forth to get todays data. So frustrating!!!
