upgraded from fitbit charge 2 to 3.

Same settings.

It now drains my iphone in just 8 hours.   It looks like the background process consumes lot's of power .  I have all-day sync, just like on my fitbit 2,  but no issue there.

Hello @christophe-US, I hope you're doing well, it's nice to see you around the Fitbit Community. Smiley Happy

I appreciate your participation in the Forums and for sharing your experience with us. Tell me, have you restarted your phone lately? Have you updated the Fitbit app? We haven't received reports from this happening with the app but I would like to gather some information from you so we can check this further:

  • iPhone model you're using.
  • OS running on your phone.
  • App version installed on your phone (go to Account > Help to get it)

Thanks for your patience and understanding, we'll be waiting to hear from you.

I have used Fitbit charge 1, HR, 2 and now 3 for about 5 years. This is
something I did not have issue before.

* I restarted my phone about one week ago, I am restarting it now to
see whether it will make a difference in the next few days
* The Fitbit and Fitbit apps are current (2.86 (810))
* I am using an iPhone 7 Plus
* When I look at the battery usage, Fitbit comes first (19%), mostly
background activity, ahead of mail or home and lock screen.
* All day sync is turned on, as well as background refresh. If I
turned these off, the power usage drops. But I had the same settings with
Fitbit 2 and Fitbit power usage was typically 2%.
* GPS is disable for Fitbit.
