Switched from an Alta to a Charge 3 in the last month. I track my walk in the App as I complete a virtual walking challenge every month and need to record my miles. The App freezes and I lose any data from that walk, but not every time. The only way I can unfreeze the App is to log out and back into the App-nothing else works! Really frustrating as never had any problems with my Alta. Tried tracking from the Charge 3 and the same intermittent problem occurs.

Welcome to the Fitbit Community, @AnnaMac14. I am sorry for the delayed response.
I appreciate your participation in the Forums and sharing that the app freezes sometimes during your walk and you lose all the exercise data. Thank you for providing the details of the issue and letting me know that logging out and back into the app helps. I am sorry that you are going through this situation, I totally understand how you are feeling as you didn't have any problems with your Fitbit Alta and would like to continue enjoying the Fitbit experience with your Charge 3.

Thanks for your reply. The app was updated on the 10th March and the last time I used it (and it froze) was the 11th March. I don’t trust it anymore. It has picked up my other walks automatically but doesn’t give me a mileage total so is useless. Currently using a different app to record my walks. Not ideal and not why I invested in a new Fitbit.

I am having this exact same problem too, I have the updated version as well. For mine it never started until recently I have used the fItbit app a lot. I think there might be an issue... I have even tried getting rid of my Fitbit app and downloading again. It still happened right after hitting 2.5 miles both times.
