App home screen freezing

The application home screen continues to freeze on a regular basis. Today when I started my walk the home screen froze. The screen updated after 15 minutes and re-froze. Again, I continue to walk and after 15 minutes the screen updated and then re-froze. I continue to walk for another 30 minutes and these updated.

 

I am a blind user using apples voiceover as a screen reader so I can track my heart rate steps and distance as I walk. I have never seen the Fitbit application screen and I have not seen the face on my Fitbit charge for. I use my thumb as I walk to swipe through the screen to get updates so that I know how I am progressing.
