App spinner mashup

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

The spinners used to enter my run details have been mashed up for awhile. I thought getting my new phone would help, but it didn’t. Whatever I change first is fine, but what I enter next shows the spinners for any previous details I changed. If I had to change the date, too, by the time I get to distance I have three sets of spinners.

Welcome to the Fitbit Community, @RunnerSLP.

I appreciate your participation in the Forums and sharing the issue with app spinners when you log your run details. Thank you for providing a screenshot and the additional details. I recommend trying the following:

  1. Log out from the Fitbit app.
  2. Verify if the Fitbit app is updated to the latest version. For instructions, see this help article.
  3. Force quit the Fitbit app.
  4. Reboot your phone.
  5. Open the Fitbit app and log back in to your account.

Keep me posted on the outcome.

@LiliyaFitbit   I have app version 3.30.  It looks like v 3.32 is being rolled out.  I deleted the app, but couldn't get 3.32 when I re-downloaded it.  Nevertheless, your troubleshooting suggestion did not work.

This did not work. I have version 3.31 and it said it was up to date when I checked for an update. It continues to mashup in different ways depending on what spinner I use first.

Thank you for your reply, @RunnerSLP. It's nice to see you around, @LZeeW @MrMarv

@MrMarv I appreciate your efforts to help and providing a screenshot.

@LZeeW @RunnerSLP I appreciate your efforts and the additional details. A new version of the Fitbit app is being slowly released and, once available, I recommend to update the app as updates come with new features and bug fixes. Please let me know if the issue persists after that and we'll continue to work towards a resolution.

Looking forward to your comments.

@LiliyaFitbit   Version 3.32.1 did not fix the issue.

Not that you need me to confirm @LZeeW 's 3.32.1 report but........

Here is a R-E-A-L sloppy workaround if you haven't figured it out yet.

Save the exercise before you have to use a spinner the second time - then go back and edit the second data element that uses a spinner, which for the "Run" exercise is a max of three spinners.

Ugly, but it works, if the mashup is too ugly to use.

I did say it was a real sloppy workaround.

Interesting, but makes sense since if you do miles first it is ok. It’s just pulls in anything you’ve done before it. I’m just glad I’m not the only one having the issue. It makes me more hopeful they will do something to fix it.

Hi everyone. It's good to see you participating in this thread.

Thanks for keeping the Fitbit app updated and for every step tried to get your exercises logged correctly. I'm sorry that exercise logging sections continue being overlapped when entering your data and I've forwarded your comments to our team so they can further investigate this situation. Please continue keeping the Fitbit app updated as you've done so far to ensure you receive the quickest resolution.

If you have another question, feel free to let me know.
