App won't let me log in or set up Fitbit Alta

I just received my first Fitbit (Alta) in the Mail on Monday. I downloaded the app, but when I went to 'join Fitbit' and on the next screen where it asked "What Fitbit tracker are you setting up?" the loading wheel kept spinning and wouldn't load the choices. I was able to set up my device on my Mac, but when I went back to the app to put in my log in,  I put in my correct username and password and pressed 'log in' and the loading wheel reappeared and kept spinning and it never loads.  

Any help will be greatly appreciated!

Hi @cowannm. Since you are on the IOS page, I'm assuming you have an iPhone. Can you please tell me which iPhone you have and which software version you are on?  Fitbit devices are only compatible with certain iPhones and software versions. You can search for your specific phone details here

 

Congratulations on your new Alta! The original Alta and the new Alta HR with its heart rate function are my favorite devices! They are nice fits for my small wrist! And I've collected enough bands to have colors for each outfit.
