Hi there. I seem to be having the exact same problem as all the people here, and it looks like this topic was closed without anyone ever solving the issue:
All my auto-recognized Exercises (ie Elliptical) have vanished, though my walks and runs remain. I bought a new Elliptical machine last week so this is a major problem for me.
Yesterday I got a "Congratulations, you have 8 straight days of Exercises!" message, and now they're all gone.
What concerns me the most is that one of the Fitbit moderators replied in that thread saying "the team is looking into it" back in 2019, but it's now more than a year later and it hasn't been fixed.
Can we please get a response on this? And hopefully... a fix??

Hi Liliya. I did steps 1-4, did not fix the issue.
To the questions:
* I cannot see the activities on Fitbit.com
* Yes, it's happening only to Elliptical Exercises, but I have no other auto-recognized exercises.
* No, I didn't update anything (that I'm aware of).
* No, I have no other apps connected to the Fitbit account.
How do I insert a photo? I see no way to upload a photo here.
