Hello @Justforfun36, thanks for joining the Fitbit Community, it's nice to see new faces around. 
This seems like a very odd situation, would it be possible for you to go to the Fitbit app, then tap on Account > Advanced Settings > Units and take a screenshot of your settings? Additionally I would ask for a screenshot of the exercise that's showing the incorrect average pace unit so I can check this further.
