Awful new iOS app only intermittently shows the tracking map

After tracking an exercise on versa2 and iOS app with iPhone 15 the track initially shows the map as expected. Afterwards the app only intermittently shows the map - no real reason visible. Is there a plan to retire this awful product (the app) and maybe offer an option to get the old app back- that release was not stellar but at least worked and provided the information one expects.
